Young Woman Allegedly Stoned To Death In Calabar

 The body of a young woman was discovered at the popular Eleven-Eleven roundabout in Calabar

 

She was found early on Friday, September 30.

 

It is believed she was stoned to death because injuries were visible all over her body and stones were beside the body.

 

Sympathisers gathered around the lifeless body as they tried to identify her.

 

Some policemen in a pickup van arrived at the scene at about 8 a.m.

The development marks a major move by Nigerian authorities to uphold data privacy and ensure organizations are held accountable for mishandling personal data. The NDPC’s investigation revealed that MultiChoice was involved in what it described as " intrusive data processing " practices. These included collecting and handling the personal data of both subscribers and non-subscribers without proper consent. A Nigerian woman, identified as @dunchichi on Twitter, has been reportedly sentenced to a one-year jail term by the United Arab Emirates government for a social media post, showing how some Nigerian nationals were illegally detained at Dubai international airport.  On August 31, Lar had taken to her  Twitter  page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport. She wrote,  “I am at the Dubai international airport and myself and some tiger Nigerians with valid visas are being held in a room hours after arriving with no explanation and no information on what we can do.
