Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed the Nigerian politician he admires the most, naming the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo as his favourite politician. The 79-year-old actor made the revelation during an interview with popular content creator Isbae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. The interview, which was published on September 5, 2026, touched on several aspects of Edochie’s life, career, politics and his views about Nigeria. Although Pete Edochie stated that he is not a politician and does not consider himself interested in politics, he made an exception when asked about the Nigerian political figure he admired most. If this two-year-old baby was neglected just like the market women that supposed to have compassion for her, this pretty girl would have not been on Twitter today.

A good Samaritan, Ben Kingsley Nwashala, who rescued this 2-year-old girl abandoned by the roadside, has shared a heartwarming photo of him and the child.

Recall that Ben picked the 2-year-old girl by the roadside at Agbani area of Enugu State on Wednesday night June 15,2022.

According to Mr Nwashala, the child was reportedly delivered by a mentally unstable woman who normally stays at a market in Agbani.

From his words, the baby has suffered tremendously. She sat at the same spot while all the rain that fell yesterday battered her. The market women didn't do anything to save the poor baby girl. 

Mr Nwashala said the girl has been cleaned up and fed as instructed by the DPO of Agbani Police Station. 


In a post shared on his Twitter handle, Nwashala posted new photos of him and the baby girl

A Nigerian woman, identified as @dunchichi on Twitter, has been reportedly sentenced to a one-year jail term by the United Arab Emirates government for a social media post, showing how some Nigerian nationals were illegally detained at Dubai international airport.  On August 31, Lar had taken to her  Twitter  page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport. She wrote,  “I am at the Dubai international airport and myself and some tiger Nigerians with valid visas are being held in a room hours after arriving with no explanation and no information on what we can do. MultiChoice Nigeria , the popular entertainment and satellite television service provider, has been slammed with a hefty fine of ₦766 million by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) over violations of the country's Data Protection Act . The development marks a major move by Nigerian authorities to uphold data privacy and ensure organizations are held accountable for mishandling personal data. The NDPC’s investigation revealed that MultiChoice was involved in what it described as " intrusive data processing " practices. These included collecting and handling the personal data of both subscribers and non-subscribers without proper consent. Furthermore, the commission found evidence that MultiChoice engaged in cross-border transfers of Nigerian citizens’ data without complying with legal protocols.
