Outrage in Enugu as Vigilantes Uncover Native Doctor's Alleged Ritual Killing Spree.

A shocking incident unfolded on Monday in Umumba Ndiagu, a community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, after vigilante operatives arrested a native doctor accused of burying multiple people alive in a sewage pit for ritual purposes.

The suspect, identified as Onyeka Obu—also known as *Ozo Ezeani* and popularly referred to as *"E dey play, E dey show"*—was reportedly exposed by local vigilantes. Disturbing video clips circulating on social media, particularly Facebook, show gruesome scenes of victims dumped in the sewage pit, sparking widespread condemnation.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement, but the discovery has triggered outrage among residents, with calls for a thorough investigation into the alleged ritual killings.

"The sewage pit, located at the ongoing construction site near the native doctor's residence, contained several bodies—including that of a pregnant woman. The pit is owned by the native doctor."

Residents informed PREMIUM TIMES that enraged youths, upon making the discovery, set fire to the native doctor’s home and his vehicles.

“The corpses found in Ezeani’s soakaway (sewage pit) prove he was a ritualist, not a native doctor,” Emeka Ozougwu, a local resident, told this newspaper.

In video clips from the scene, many residents could be heard voicing their fury over the incident.

How It Was Uncovered

Residents revealed to PREMIUM TIMES that the native doctor's alleged crimes came to light after two boys working for him kidnapped a 13-year-old girl in the community.

According to an anonymous resident, the girl was later thrown into a sewage pit.

A video clip captured the victim recounting her ordeal—how the boys forced her onto a motorcycle and sped away with her.

In another clip, the girl’s father confirmed that she had been abducted in his presence but was unable to pursue or track down the abductors.

He reported the incident to the local vigilante group, believing his daughter had been taken by kidnappers.

According to an anonymous resident, vigilante members later spotted the suspects holding the girl on a motorcycle and followed them to the native doctor’s residence.

The resident added that Mr. Ezeani initially tried to mislead the operatives by acting surprised about the situation and attempting to prevent them from entering his apartment. However, the vigilantes forced their way inside after hearing the girl’s persistent cries from the ongoing construction site.

Vigilantes Discover Grisly Scene in Raid, Rescue Teen Girl from Sewage Pit

A vigilante group searching a location uncovered a horrifying discovery—a sewage pit where a 13-year-old girl was being held captive. According to reports, the youths later arrived at the scene to assist.

One of the vigilante leaders described how they apprehended the native doctor and rescued the girl from the pit. *"When we entered the house, we found the girl inside the sewage pit. Shining our torchlight, we saw multiple dead bodies in the pit before managing to pull her out,"* the leader said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The suspect, identified as a native doctor, reportedly operated with accomplices under the guise of a harmless association, though they allegedly belonged to a secret society called *"White Club Kingdom."*

Meanwhile, local native doctors have distanced themselves from the arrested man, with some claiming he was never a member of their group. Investigations into the shocking case are ongoing.
