DStv Decoder Now ₦10,000: MultiChoice Slashes Prices to Win Over More Nigerians

In a major move aimed at increasing access to quality digital entertainment, MultiChoice Nigeria has slashed the price of its DStv decoder by 50%. The decoder, which previously sold for ₦20,000, will now cost just ₦10,000. This new offer includes a DStv HD decoder, a satellite dish, and one month of free viewing on the Compact package.

The company also announced a “free upgrade” promotion running until July 31, 2025. With this promo, new and existing subscribers who pay for a lower package will be automatically upgraded to a higher one for a month at no extra cost. For example, if a customer subscribes to the Confam bouquet, they will be upgraded to the Compact package free for that month.

This new pricing strategy comes at a time when many Nigerians are battling economic hardship, with inflation driving up the cost of living. Her forthcoming arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 8 has garnered public interest regarding the details of her arrest, extended detention, and eventual release on bail.
