No Court, No Church, No Divorce – Olakunle Churchill Clears Air on Relationship with Rosy Meurer

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has finally addressed the swirling rumours claiming that he and his partner, Rosy Meurer, are heading for a divorce.

Taking to his Instagram page, Churchill firmly dismissed the reports, describing them as false, misleading, and completely unfounded.

“There Was No Marriage”

In a strongly worded statement, Churchill clarified that contrary to public belief, there was never a legally recognized marriage between him and Meurer.

“Let me address this directly. The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such,” he wrote.

He went further to explain that their relationship did not involve any formal wedding ceremony—either traditional, church, or court.

“There was no legally recognised marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he added.

Questions Over ‘Divorce Documents’

Churchill also raised concerns about alleged documents being circulated online, questioning their authenticity and legality. According to him, he was never officially served any notice regarding a divorce proceeding.

“I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?”

He didn’t hold back in criticizing those allegedly behind the narrative, hinting at misinformation fueled by inexperienced individuals and questionable legal practices.

Subtle Dig at Critics

In a sarcastic tone, Churchill took a swipe at those he believes are orchestrating the rumours.

“I am 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree and claim to produce divorce documents within 24 hours,” he stated.

Reference to Past Relationship

The businessman also briefly addressed his past relationship with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, noting that any issues between them had long been resolved privately without public interference.

What Sparked the Rumours?

Speculation about a possible breakup intensified after Meurer recently shared a video where she reintroduced herself without using Churchill’s surname. Observers also noticed the absence of her wedding ring, further fueling rumours online.

Additionally, she issued an apology to fans for her recent absence, a move that many interpreted as a sign of personal struggles.

Final Take

While social media continues to buzz with speculation, Churchill’s statement makes one thing clear—according to him, there was never a marriage to dissolve in the first place.

Whether this clarification will put the rumours to rest or spark further debate remains to be seen, but for now, both parties appear to be navigating the spotlight in their own ways.
