Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed the Nigerian politician he admires the most, naming the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo as his favourite politician. The 79-year-old actor made the revelation during an interview with popular content creator Isbae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. The interview, which was published on September 5, 2026, touched on several aspects of Edochie’s life, career, politics and his views about Nigeria. Man arrested for dressing as woman to get money from unsuspecting men in Adamawa

 
A good look at this young girl will never give her away for a man. Her dress, face and well shaped figure made her to be seen as a young lady. 

This young man's name is Muhammed Abubakar, he is from Adamawa State. He dressed in women's clothes to obtain money from men.

Muhammed Abubakar was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Girei, Adamawa State for dressing as a woman and making money from unsuspecting men.

According to Nigerian law, “A person engaged in cross dressing is guilty of an offense and liable to imprisonment for six months or to a fine of five hundred thousand Naira.

“Section 7 of the principal Act is amended by introducing the word ‘cross dressing’ and defining same as;

“Cross dressing means the practice of wearing clothes usually worn by a person of the opposite sex.”

 

The suspect said he routinely dressed in women's clothes and go out with female friends to obtain money from men needing romance.

Muhammed who holds a Diploma in Business Management from the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, said his female collaborators gave him between N500 and N1,500 daily as his share of their loot.

 

Muhammed, who said he adopted the female name of Fadi, told the court that his female accomplices protected him each time any man wanted to have him, by telling the man that she (he) was ''menstruating.''

It was gathered that nemesis caught up with Muhammed on November 16, 2022, at Girei market where he went to buy an ear ring and was seen by a man who suspected that he was a man.

 

The suspicious man raised the alarm and he was arrested.

The court presided over by Martina Gregory ordered that he be remanded until December 5, 2022.
