Pete Edochie Names Obafemi Awolowo as His Favourite Nigerian Politician

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed the Nigerian politician he admires the most, naming the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo as his favourite politician. The 79-year-old actor made the revelation during an interview with popular content creator Isbae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. The interview, which was published on September 5, 2026, touched on several aspects of Edochie’s life, career, politics and his views about Nigeria. Although Pete Edochie stated that he is not a politician and does not consider himself interested in politics, he made an exception when asked about the Nigerian political figure he admired most. "I need my little Precious" - Nigerian man demands justice for his daughter who was allegedly 'beaten to death' by a woman

A local musician from Benue State, Jerry B Achirkpi, has cried out for justice over his young daughter, Precious, who he claims was beaten to death by a woman. 

Jerry started crying for justice and help on November 17, 2022, when he raised an alarm on Facebook over the alleged 'kidnapping' of Precious. 

"HELP OOOOOOOOO. Kidnapper give me my daughter, where are you PP. PRECIOUS please come back. Your daddy miss you. Come and see your new born brother EXCELLENT. Someone should help me. I need my daughter back," he wrote. 

In the latest Facebook post dated December 18, he claimed that the woman identified as Mrs Ujunwa Ugwoke has been arrested in connection with his daughter's alleged disappearance and murder. 

From his words, the woman confessed to the Anti-kidnapping squad of the Enugu State Police Command, to beating his daughter to death but has refused to show him her corpse. 

The aggrieved father also accused the police of laxity, saying "they keep on telling me story everyday"

"PLEASE I NEED HELP ( KIDNAPPING AND MURDER) MRS UJUNWA UGWOKE confirmed before anti-kidnapping squad Enugu that is kidnapped and killed my beautiful daughter MISS PRECIOUS KORSHIMA (PP JERRY B) after failing to collect ransom of N20,000,000 from me," 

"She claimed that she beat her to death, but refused to show me the dead body of my daughter that she dropped the dead body in the bush close to a community and the chief of that community order the youths to burn the corpse.

"She has been under anti-kidnapping over 1 month now and police are not helping matters , they keep on telling me story everyday. Please I NEED JUSTICE. I NEED HELP. I NEED MY LITTLE PRECIOUS. Please share it to reach my help,"

Dubai Jails Nigerian Lady For Filming Maltreatment, Family Kicks

A Nigerian woman, identified as @dunchichi on Twitter, has been reportedly sentenced to a one-year jail term by the United Arab Emirates government for a social media post, showing how some Nigerian nationals were illegally detained at Dubai international airport.  On August 31, Lar had taken to her  Twitter  page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport. She wrote,  “I am at the Dubai international airport and myself and some tiger Nigerians with valid visas are being held in a room hours after arriving with no explanation and no information on what we can do. The development marks a major move by Nigerian authorities to uphold data privacy and ensure organizations are held accountable for mishandling personal data. The NDPC’s investigation revealed that MultiChoice was involved in what it described as " intrusive data processing " practices. These included collecting and handling the personal data of both subscribers and non-subscribers without proper consent.
