Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed the Nigerian politician he admires the most, naming the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo as his favourite politician. The 79-year-old actor made the revelation during an interview with popular content creator Isbae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. The interview, which was published on September 5, 2026, touched on several aspects of Edochie’s life, career, politics and his views about Nigeria. Although Pete Edochie stated that he is not a politician and does not consider himself interested in politics, he made an exception when asked about the Nigerian political figure he admired most. Gunmen Raid Supermarket In Abuja, Cart Away Money, Phones, Rings, Airpords, Car Keys And Others (Video)

Seven armed men invaded  a departmental store in Abuja on Friday,30th September 2022,and carted away items such as money, phones, rings, airpods, cars and others.


Journalist Luciano who shared the story online said his friend was among those that witnessed the robbery.

Posting a CCTV footage that captured the moment the robbers entered the departmental store, Luciano wrote;

''ABUJA IS NO MORE SAFE!!!

This happened to my friend @iammex_official

Yesterday the 30th of September at about 9:30pm, Armed gang of about six or seven persons entered a store in Abuja (Jekor Pharmacy, beside Regent School, opposite Yoruba mosque) and ordered everyone to corporate and lie down else they will be shot.

They made away with valuable items such as money, phones, smart watches, gold chains and rings, airpods, car keys, and other belongings.

They fled the scene in a white haice bus, with a purple diplomatic license plates) which they snatched from one of the customers at the store.

The matter has however been reported to the Maitama police station and currently undergoing investigation.

Please keep your eyes open ooo, the FCT is not safe anymore.

Dubai Jails Nigerian Lady For Filming Maltreatment, Family Kicks

A Nigerian woman, identified as @dunchichi on Twitter, has been reportedly sentenced to a one-year jail term by the United Arab Emirates government for a social media post, showing how some Nigerian nationals were illegally detained at Dubai international airport.  On August 31, Lar had taken to her  Twitter  page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport. She wrote,  “I am at the Dubai international airport and myself and some tiger Nigerians with valid visas are being held in a room hours after arriving with no explanation and no information on what we can do. MultiChoice Nigeria , the popular entertainment and satellite television service provider, has been slammed with a hefty fine of ₦766 million by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) over violations of the country's Data Protection Act . The development marks a major move by Nigerian authorities to uphold data privacy and ensure organizations are held accountable for mishandling personal data. The NDPC’s investigation revealed that MultiChoice was involved in what it described as " intrusive data processing " practices. These included collecting and handling the personal data of both subscribers and non-subscribers without proper consent. Furthermore, the commission found evidence that MultiChoice engaged in cross-border transfers of Nigerian citizens’ data without complying with legal protocols.
