Nationwide SIM Services Disruption Hits Nigerians Amid NIMC Platform Migration

Nigerians across the country are currently experiencing a major disruption in SIM-related services, following the migration of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to a new digital identity verification platform. This development has caused unexpected technical issues, forcing mobile network operators to suspend services such as SIM swaps, replacements, activations, and number porting. According to a statement from the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), the transition has created temporary difficulties in verifying users’ National Identification Numbers (NIN) through the new system. As a result, all telecom providers, including MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9mobile, have been affected. The suspension is particularly frustrating for subscribers who urgently need to retrieve lost lines, change devices, or port their numbers. The development also impacts people who rely on SIM cards for access to banking, business communications, and other di...

Davido Secretly Weds Chioma

The 29-year-old American born Nigerian recording, artist, performer, record producer,   David Adeleke-aka, Davido has recently wedded his fiancee, Chioma Rowland secretly.

The couple who recently lost their three year old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke tied the knot on 6th November,2022.

The singer who won two awards at the recently held MAMA Awards in South Africa and only yesterday was crowned the Prince Of African Music by BET, secretly got married to his lover, Chioma in his father's house.

The traditional wedding which was attended by few family members and friends was held with no camera allowed. Chioma's pride price was paid in full.

Recall that in 2018, Davido and Chioma paid a courtesy visit to the monarch. However, their relationship stood the test of time as they parted ways in 2021.

Following their recent reconciliation, the singer had proudly showed off his woman to the monarch for a second time.

The couple had a good time in Benin City as they attended the wedding of Davido’s logistics manager, Isreal DMW, and Taiwo Afolabi’s daughter’s wedding.

It was during the wedding of Taiwo Afolabi’s daughter that Davido met with the Ooni and his wives, Olori Mariam and Queen Tobi Phillips.

On sighting Chioma, Olori Mariam called for her and Davido re-introduced his woman to them.

The singer introduced Chioma as his wife to the Ooni and his wives.

Also Davido before his son's untimely death had earlier informed the public that he and Chioma would get married in 2023.The music star dropped the hint while he was away in London, on a visit to famous clergyman, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.

In a video which made rounds, Pastor Adegboyega was seen hugging Chioma while saying “our wife, our real wife”.

Davido responded by saying ”hundred percent, going down 2023″ which indicates that he may finally be tying the knot with his baby mama.

The traditional marriage had to be moved backward following the tragedy that befell them.

According to a source, Chioma had told Davido that there was nothing more left for her to be looking at as the son that bound them was no more.

Davido had to move the traditional wedding closer to console Chioma and give her assurance that, with or without a son that her place is assured.

The singer's family is doing all they could to keep the couple happy. Although they are still mourning,  Chioma at the other hand has lost so much weight. The couple has been through a tough time together following the death of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

On November 11th, the ACE Afrobeat singer made his first public appearance following the loss of his son, Ifeanyi. He was seen at a barber's shop getting a haircut, but his eyes were swollen.

Chioma, on her own part is still trying to come to terms with the death of her son.
Few weeks before the death of her son, her personal room was gutted by a mysterious fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown till today.

Their registry is coming up sometimes next week though, the couple are still mourning the loss of their son.
