The crisis rocking Nigeria’s education sector has deepened once again, as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened a major showdown with the Tinubu-led federal government over its continued neglect of the demands made by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). This renewed warning comes amid rising tensions across the nation’s tertiary institutions, where lecturers have embarked on a two-week warning strike to press home their long-standing grievances. In a strongly worded statement issued by NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero , the labour body accused the government of insincerity and deliberate non-compliance with previous agreements signed with ASUU. BBNaija Season 10: Danboskid and Ibifubara Become First Evictees

The tension in the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house reached new heights on Sunday night as two housemates, Daniel Olatunji, popularly known as Danboskid, and Ibifubara Davies, became the first to be evicted from the “Ten Over Ten” season.

During the live eviction show, hosted with all the glitz and suspense that BBNaija fans have come to expect, Danboskid was the first to be shown the door after polling the lowest percentage of votes from viewers. He managed only about 0.65% of the total votes. Moments later, Ibifubara followed, having secured roughly 0.325%, sealing her fate as the second housemate to leave.

The double eviction shocked some fans but also served as a reminder of the intense competition inside the house. Both evictees had brought their own unique personalities to the game—Danboskid, with his lively energy and humor, and Ibifubara, known for her calm yet strategic approach. Unfortunately, their fan base wasn’t strong enough to keep them in the running for the coveted ₦150 million grand prize.

As they exited the stage, the pair expressed gratitude to Big Brother, their fellow housemates, and the audience. Danboskid admitted he was surprised by the early eviction but remained optimistic about exploring new opportunities outside the house. Ibifubara shared that the experience had been a personal growth journey and hinted at possible future projects.

Inside the house, the mood shifted as the remaining contestants processed the reality that anyone could be next. Alliances are already being tested, and with new twists and tasks ahead, housemates are expected to raise their game.

The eviction night served as a powerful reminder to contestants and fans alike: in BBNaija, popularity and strategy must go hand in hand, and every vote counts.
