Regina Daniels Appears in Wheelchair as She Reveals Months of Severe Pain and Health Struggles
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has appealed to passengers who were onboard the same Ibom Air flight as a recently reported “unruly” passenger to step forward and share their accounts of the incident.
NCAA spokesperson, Michael Achimugu, made the request in a statement issued on Monday, stressing the need for accurate and balanced information before the authority reaches any conclusions. He urged witnesses to contact him directly, assuring that their testimonies would be treated with confidentiality and used strictly for investigative purposes.
The call for public input comes after reports surfaced last week of a passenger allegedly causing a disturbance during an Ibom Air flight. While the airline has not released extensive details, the incident has sparked widespread conversation on social media and in aviation circles, with some questioning the initial version of events.
Achimugu explained that the NCAA’s objective is to ensure fairness and transparency in handling aviation-related misconduct. He noted that relying solely on one account could lead to an incomplete or biased understanding of what actually happened.
“The NCAA will not make decisions based on one-sided stories,” Achimugu said. “We are giving everyone who witnessed the incident a chance to speak so that the truth can be established, and justice served.”
The aviation authority also reminded the public that unruly behavior aboard flights is a serious offense under Nigerian aviation laws, carrying penalties that may include heavy fines, suspension from air travel, or prosecution.
By inviting passengers to share their versions, the NCAA is signaling a shift towards more inclusive investigations in the aviation sector—one that considers multiple perspectives before taking action.
Passengers with relevant information are encouraged to contact the NCAA promptly, as the authority continues its review of the Ibom Air case.
