AGN President Emeka Rollas Fires Shots at Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko, and Rita Daniels in Explosive New Statement
The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into fresh controversy as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, publicly addressed the ongoing marital crisis between actress Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. In what many have described as his most explosive statement yet, Rollas took aim not only at the couple but also at Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, and several senior actors whom he accused of keeping silent about issues they allegedly witnessed firsthand.
The AGN president, whose tenure is gradually coming to an end, explained that his silence over the matter was not due to fear, but out of respect. However, he said he could no longer ignore the numerous accusations dragging his name into the controversy. According to him, it became necessary to “set the record straight” and protect the integrity of the Guild as well as his own personal reputation.
Rollas Takes on Senior Nollywood Figures
One of the most striking parts of his statement was his call-out of respected Nollywood veterans — including Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, Jide Kosoko, Charles Inojie, and Sanni Danji. Rollas claimed that these actors were present on a movie set where certain “concerning incidents” involving Regina Daniels allegedly occurred. He accused them of maintaining a worrying silence despite supposedly witnessing behavior that, in his words, showed that Regina “needs help.”
According to him, the reluctance of these senior actors to speak openly had contributed to a misunderstanding of the situation. Rollas insisted that as leaders and stakeholders in the film industry, such silence was harmful both to the actress involved and to the Guild as a whole.
Allegations About Regina Daniels’ Health
Emeka Rollas also addressed what he described as “persistent reports” regarding Regina Daniels’ wellbeing. He referenced a viral moment during her son’s birthday event, where Ned Nwoko allegedly expressed concern about Regina’s smoking habit. The AGN president claimed that his worry was not aimed at shaming the actress but encouraging her to seek help and prioritise her personal health.
He noted that the Guild had provided support to actors facing similar struggles in the past, and Regina would not be an exception. What he strongly rejected, however, was the framing of such habits as part of a “celebrity lifestyle,” calling it a dangerous message for younger actors and fans who look up to Regina as a role model.
Rita Daniels Not Spared
Regina’s mother and former AGN vice president, Rita Daniels, also came under heavy criticism. Rollas accused her of prioritising her political ambitions within the Guild despite her daughter’s situation.
He challenged her supporters who have been advocating for her emergence as the next AGN president, arguing that they may be acting in ways that are not in the Guild’s best interests. He insisted that if Regina’s home and health were truly in distress, then Rita’s attention should be directed there rather than toward AGN elections.
Rollas further warned that backing harmful habits under the guise of celebrity freedom was irresponsible. He argued that true leadership meant guiding younger generations away from destructive behaviors, not enabling them.
Rollas Pushes Back Against Ned Nwoko’s Claims
The AGN president also dismissed popular claims that Senator Ned Nwoko donated ₦200 million to the Actors Guild. According to Rollas, the money in question was never meant for AGN; instead, it was for Regina Daniels’ movie production and had nothing to do with the Guild or its members.
He also expressed disappointment that Nwoko had aired certain marital issues publicly. For him, a husband of Nwoko’s status should have found more private ways to address concerns rather than turning social media into a battleground.
The Integrity Question
Rollas made it clear that he intends to leave office with his reputation intact. He denied accusations that he had been financially compromised or influenced by any of the parties involved in the Daniels–Nwoko situation. He further accused some individuals of attempting to manipulate the AGN transition process for their own advantage, warning that such actions would not be tolerated.
Regina Daniels Fires Back
Regina Daniels did not stay silent. In her response, she accused Emeka Rollas of leveraging her family issues to push a personal agenda. She described several of his claims as “nonsense” and insisted that neither she nor her mother has ever wronged him.
She defended her mother, saying Rita Daniels has always supported the Guild and even Rollas personally. Regina also implied that Rollas’ motives were questionable, hinting at an alleged incident where he supposedly asked her to bring some ladies to her home for swimming lessons — a request she claimed she declined.
She accused the AGN president of bitterness and suggested his recent comments were driven more by personal grievances than genuine concern.
