Obi Tenders Additional 188 Exhibits Against Tinubu’s Election

  In his bid to establish his allegations of malpractices in the conduct of the February 25 presidential election, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the last election, Peter Gregory Obi on Tuesday, tendered additional 188 exhibits against the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as winner of the election. The exhibits, mainly results sheets and reports used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the election, were tendered at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) and admitted as exhibits to be used to determine the legality or otherwise of Tinubu’s return as the President. Obi, through Peter Afoba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, tendered forms EC40GPU, EC40G1 and reports prepared by the electoral body after the election. A breakdown showed that 45 EC40GPU forms were tendered in 10 Local Government Areas of Niger State, 23 in seven Local Government Areas of Osun, 17 in three Local Government Areas of Edo State and 52 EC40GPU forms in five Local Governm

Udeze emerged as the Speaker on Monday, after he was unanimously elected by the 30 members of the eighth Assembly at the State House of Assembly Complex in Awka, the Anambra State capital. 95-year-old woman with dementia dies after being Tasered by police at care home

  A 95-year-old great-grandmother has died in hospital as the police officer who allegedly Tasered her at an aged care facility was charged with three offences. Update: UK Government Bans Nigerian Students And Others From Bringing Family Members

  Nigerian and other international students have been  banned from  bringing family members to the UK unless they are on PhD courses , in a crackdown announced by country's Home Secretary, Suella Braverman ahead of expected record immigration statistics. Under current rules, only students enrolling on full-time, postgraduate courses lasting nine months or longer can bring family members with them to the UK. Those students can bring their partner and any children under the age of 18, and must prove they have at least £680 per month to support each of their dependents. The Wole Soyinka Train Station is one of the 10 stations that make up the 156km Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail commissioned in 2021 by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
