Warri Federal Constituency: INEC Presents Delineation Report to Delta Ethnic Groups

Over the weekend, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented its report on the delineation of wards and polling units within the Warri Federal Constituency in Delta State to representatives from the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic groups. This recent delineation work was initiated following the Supreme Courtā€™s 2022 ruling, which mandated INEC to undertake this exercise. The report was shared at a stakeholders meeting held in Asaba, the state capital, where it was presented by the INEC State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sir Etekamba Udo Umoren. Imo Resident Allegedly Sets Ablaze Kinsman Over N25,000 Stolen Jeans, Family Seeks Justice



The person in question, who was hauled out of a congregation on December 31, at Nnebugwu independent local area in Oguta LGA passed on from extreme consumes.


A grievous episode has happened in Imo State, where a 35-year-old person, Chima Okafor, was purportedly set burning by his brother, Obinna Obiekea, and his relatives over a taken jean esteemed at N25,000.

As per the casualty's dad, Uche Okafor, his child was going to a hybrid night chapel gathering when Obiekea and his relatives hauled him out, blamed him for taking the jean, and set him burning.


In the mean time, the police have captured Obiekea and his child, Chidubem, while his better half, Nwamaka, and another child, Eloka, are currently at large.


The case has been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for additional test.


The casualty's dad has requested of the state commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, looking for equity for his child's passing.

In the petition dated January 6 and titled, "Killing of my son on January Ist by Mr Obinna Obiekea, Nwamaka Obiekea, Eloka and Chidubem Obiekea", he also appealed to the state governor and President Bola Tinubu to ensure that justice is served.


He said: "My name is Mr Uche Okafor from Umuisoma village in Nnebugwu autonomous community in Oguta LGA. of Imo state. 

"My son, 35, Chima Okafor was burnt to death by Obinna Obiekea (Losky) with his wife, Nwamaka Obiekea, sons Eloka and Chidubem Obiekea on January 1st in my hometown.

"He dragged my son from a Cherubim church where he was attending crossover night Church service, after accusing him of stealing his son's jean knicker worth N25,000. Together with his sons, they dragged my son to their compound, used weapons disfigured him and set him ablaze, immediately. 

"My son was later rescued and rushed to Congregation Of The Poor Handmaid of Jesus Christ hospital at Mgbele in Oguta where he died same day owing to high degree of burn he suffered.

"Already the matter has been transfered to state CID with Obinna Obiekea (Losky) and Chidubem Obiekea arrested by the police while Eloka and Nwamaka are at large. 

"I urge you sir to use your good offices to ensure that those at large are arrested and justice dispensed in this matter."
