💔 “End of an Era” — Chelsea Legend Petr Čech Splits from Wife After 26 Years

Former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Čech has confirmed that he and his wife, Martina, are separating after 26 years together. The football legend, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, made the announcement in a joint statement with Martina, saying the decision was mutual and taken after careful consideration.

Petr and Martina, who met as teenagers in their native Czech Republic, have been together since the late 1990s and share two children. Over the years, Martina has been a constant source of support throughout Čech’s illustrious career, which saw him win four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, the Champions League, and the Europa League with Chelsea before retiring in 2019.

The couple’s statement read: “After 26 years together, we have decided to separate. While this has been a very difficult decision, we remain committed to raising our children together and maintaining a respectful relationship. We kindly ask for privacy during this time.”

Fans across the world have expressed shock at the news, with many recalling how often Martina was seen cheering Čech from the stands during his career.

A Nigerian woman, identified as @dunchichi on Twitter, has been reportedly sentenced to a one-year jail term by the United Arab Emirates government for a social media post, showing how some Nigerian nationals were illegally detained at Dubai international airport.  On August 31, Lar had taken to her  Twitter  page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport. The development marks a major move by Nigerian authorities to uphold data privacy and ensure organizations are held accountable for mishandling personal data. The NDPC’s investigation revealed that MultiChoice was involved in what it described as " intrusive data processing " practices.
