The university aims to collaborate with leading global tech institutions and Nigerian startups to create an ecosystem where students can develop solutions tailored to the nation’s social and economic challenges.
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who facilitated the establishment of the university, emphasized the administration’s dedication to improving access to quality education.
“Education remains the most powerful tool for development. Through institutions like UIST, we are empowering Imo youths to become global leaders in science and innovation,” — Governor Uzodinma said.
